Programme Overview


This course will give you a firm foundation within the world’s single biggest industry; hospitality and tourism. Whether you dream of working for an international airline or a global hotel chain, or are an entrepreneur at heart with your sights set on opening a family-run restaurant, private touring company , bed and breakfast establishments, the opportunities within the tourism and hospitality markets are huge and varied. You’ll learn about the essentials of the tourism and hospitality industry and operations needed to enter the industry. From human resources and business computing, to marketing and customer relationships, the foundation programme takes a holistic approach in preparing you for this exciting career path. This course is perfect for students who want to take their first step towards developing a career in the tourism and hospitality industry and enter the industry within 12 months in one of the various entry level positions available in the industry.


Full time students spent 50% of the course duration in industry to gain relevant work experience suitable for immediate employment upon completion of the course. Alternatively, you may elect to upgrade your course to the Level 4 Undergraduate Programme in Tourism Management and study further.


Entrance Requirements

  • Grade 12,
  • You may apply for provisional registration based on Grade 11 results,
  • You must be able to speak, read and write English
  • You must have access to a PC for studies at home or a laptop for studies at the campus

 

Study Options

  • 12 months full time, starting February and July (6 months theory and 6 months industry experiential learning) starting February and July.
  • 12 to 18 months distance learning.

  • Subject 2: Essentials of Marketing and Customer Relationships in Tourism and Hospitality

Certification

  • CTH Level 3 Diploma in Tourism and Hospitality (UK Based Qualification)

 

Accreditation

  • This international qualification is registered on the United Kingdom Qualifications and Credit Framework under QAN 600/7003/1. TriVersita is an accredited training center of the Confederation of Tourism and Hospitality.
