CTH Advanced Programme in Tourism Management

Programme Overview


The course aims to provide students with an understanding of the managerial, decision-making and leadership aspects of the hospitality industry. Managerial competencies are developed in Tourism Operations Management, Sustainable Tourism and Destination Development, Customer Relationship Management, Marketing, Human Resources and Finance. In addition, it is also designed to develop independent research and study skills required when working at senior managerial level in the industry. It is therefore an excellent preparation for entry to the workplace.

Full time students spent 50% of the course duration in industry to gain relevant work experience suitable for immediate employment upon completion of the course with the necessary theoretical underpinnings to progress into managerial positions. The Level 5 Advanced Programme is also a springboard into a second or final year bachelors degree at a selected international universities abroad for those students who aspire to pursue degree studies oversees. Alternatively, students may elect to progress to the Level 6 Pro-Graduate Programme.
